We live in a regional community. Metro has a critical role in listening to all the voices in that community – cities, counties, and special districts. Metro can be a nutritive matrix that provides local jurisdictions with tools and encourages innovation within a context of a shared regional community, culture, economy, and natural environment. Transportation, waste management, land use management, culture, and parks and open space must be managed for the good of all and there is great efficiency of cost in a cooperative regional approach.
